Photoshop has started doing something weird.
I draw my masks in photoshop by using my pen tool to make a path. When I'm done I go to the Path Tab, click on the Working Path and click the Load Path as Selection button and it should create a selection around the path. It does that but it selects the inverse.
For example if I make a path around a ball and click to make it a selection. It selects everything outside the ball and not the ball it's self. This sucks when my path has alot of smaller paths with in it. Anyone know what I have to do to change that back?

Photoshop hates you.
Sorry, never heard of that before.

no help?

also when you Ctrl+click the layer with your mask to select it?

No that works like it's should. It's when I convert my path to a selection that it does not grab my path like it should. I think it has to be with the way I am drawing the path. I opened another designer's file and it worked fine. Any help?

I have the same problem in photoshop 7, i have to end up using select inverse to get what I want, it didn't used to be that way though, i did have happier times :(

So to anyone else that may be having this problem I've figured it out! When you draw your path in Photoshop 7.0. Look at the buttons on your options bar usually floating right under your menu bar unless you've moved it. In the option bar make sure that the "Add to Path Area" button (the first one) is pressed. Phew! That took to long to figure out!

Never heard of this happening. Just make sure your path is complete and all points are connected.
