Well since it's on a hill you can roll down it when you get pissed.

anytime.
ohhh and also never spit at the bartender there, he's big and mean and green.

if you want a proper pub, ie 'boozer' not a 'bar', then there are none i can think of.

windsor castle at the top of campden hill road, historical pub i think, from the 1800s? good food.

I just had a few pints in the cock paddywop.
A bit of cock on a Friday is always good.

Isn't that area crawling with cops right now?

cool man, i just got back from the crown & sceptre on great titchfield street. I feel beeter for drinking kirin instead of 'man in the box'.
Saying that, it's the cock after work.

(Jul 29 05, 06:54)It looses its appeal after lunch for me.... If its man in the box in the evening it has to be the Jon Snow.

The Sun in Splendor is excellent. Nottinghill gate end of Portobello.
May even be there m'self tonight as it happens.
Another alright one is Portobello gold. Ground floor also good. Both on Portobello.

thanks for all the tips kids, not sure which one to look up. I know the Wnidsor quite well, nice place, if a bit overly dark. It's my brovas neck of the woods really. i'm stuck out in the east, heading over there soon as i finished my work before lunch. Killing time now.

or if you're westbourne park end of notting hill then
the westbourne (can't go wrong with a pint of prawns and garlic dipping sauce to go with your beer)
the cow (yummy oysters)
the metropolitan (bbq on summer sundays, roast in winter)
the grand union (outdoors on the canal, nice pies, regulars include "Cobra Leroy", the head of a local canal barge/biker gang)
- paddywop0
i thought its the cow where you get a pint of prawns. That pub plus the grand union rock.
The Metropolitan is good for letching and not much else.
- vespa0
maybe you can get pints of prawns at the cow but i've only had them at the westbourne. mmm pint of prawnssssss stop it you're making me hungry!
have you seen Cobra Leroy at the grand onion then paddywop? big black dude with a panama hat and a massive soundsystem on a purple trailer that hooks up behind his motorbike, he's larger than life!
also: letching has it's place.
- paddywop0
I have seen him actually, but never talked to the guy. I may do now though. Is he approachable? He sounds like an interesting muva
And letching does have its place - the metropolitan beer gardens, sunday afternoon
