Interested to see if anyone has had experience in doing offline fullscreen video for kiosks or attract loops in flash for clients. I am working on some Point of Sale attract loops/kiosks for a computer manufacturer, and wanted to get some heads up for anyone that pushed 1024x768 video locally on a machine. What were your takes on it? What compression worked best? I have delt with 640x480 video and such, but never anythng larger. Is there any third party software that you recommended besides sorenson that did the trick? Any insight would be appreciated. Thnx.

and also if its just flash, 1024x768 will do just fine at 24fps

Have you ever had any objects animating of top of the video, like text or shapes etc, over the 24fps video @ 1024x768. Curious about performance issues

I did some kiosks for an expo for an avionics company and had a supplied video loop underneath and instead of remastering a new video with titles and such I took the easy way out and but the titles on top of the video embedded in flash and had no problems just use sync and make sure your machine has no other workload
if that is what you meant?

Ive had to do this very issue for kiosk screens linked to a server. If your doing ANYTHING in flash with video it seems to max out the cpu. so its really hard to get 3 computer screens running 3 diff flash files to play off the same server.
