Depends on where you are. Coast Paper's a good Canadian supplier, aznd they've got the best desigenr support I've experienced.
Not much use though if you're somewhere else.

what sort of quantity and size are you looking for? I am not too sure what is in NYC, but i look through my paper samples from unisource or xpedex and find what I like. Then my printer will tell me what is close to what i want that is more affordable.
not knowing what you are using it for makes it a little difficult to give a straight answer.

spendogg,
quantity wise im not sure how it works, im doing a box that can be mocked on a 8.5 by 11, so they are priting on that size paper, then we need like 250-300....

hmmm... so you are making a box. What sort of weight are you looking for? cover weight or board?

cardstock, or like a strong cover weight

french is really nice, but is a little more expensive.
i'm not sure of any smaller retail outlets, but have you tried Ris or Xpedx?

A ream of french paper cover stock should only run you about 40 bucks.

true... its a bit more expensive, but it looks/feels/functions that difference 10 fold
