I'm thinking of getting a PSP. Does anyone know the best software to convert DVD to MPEG4 PSP format? How much space would this use on a memory stick?

clerk is on the money.
as for how much space it takes, that's down to you. it's like saying how many mp3s can i get on a 20GB ipod - all depends on what quality your mp3s are.
when i put revenge of the sith on my psp, i knew there was gonna be lots of fast moving action, explosions, etc so i ripped it pretty high. thing it was about 700MB. but just put Eraserhead on there, so lowered the quality, and got it on there for 300MB. it's down to you.
either way, you need a 1GB card at least. by the time you have one or two movies on there, some photos, couple of magazines and your game saves.

Also, just saw an ad for poketmac to sync music and such for psp, anyone tried this?

i'm having a look at that as well right now as i just got my 1gb stick delivered.
looks like mp4 is the psp video format.
quicktime pro let's you export to mp4. and connecting the card to a usb reader to your mac should do it.
i just wonder if the resolution needs to be adjusted.i left my card reader at home, so will check it out later...
