need some help:
getting some compliment slips printed. i emailed the .psd to my printer and they sent me a soft proof but the colours are off. i called them and the CMYK values they have given me are spot on - why would a pdf soft proof come back different if the CMYK values are the same?

Are proofs not quite often printed on digital printers?

yeah, but gonna have to get a hard copy and pay but just wondering why the emailed proof would be off - even if our screens are calibrated differently it should still look the same on my monitor if the values match no?
