we have a central computer that is playing music through iTunes. My music sharing is on and playing through this computah. Is there anyway to control song choice/volume without Apple Remote Desktop?
If I am sitting at my desk, my lazy ass wants to avoid having to walk the 20 feet over to manually change tracks, etc.
thanks,
bB

Use your HID (cell phone) to control it over bluetooth.
I do it like that.

Get a bluetooth dongle and mobile phone – use an app called "Romeo". You can control volume, cursor, skip pause the works!!

Activate the web server on your central computer and use a php file to execute applescripts on your itunes. We have it working perfectly in our office that exact way. If you want to do this you can email me and I can give you the php info.
