Freelancers / dental insurance?

I been working on my own, for the past year and I would like to get dental and health insurance, what would you recommend that is good but not too expensive for the independent wallet? :)

Medical insurance will not be hard to get...depending on your health(smoker...etc.) just call and ask for individual plans. Now, dental insurace will be almost impossible to find. Most individual plans will look like insurance, but it is only a discount plan....and a lot of dentists will not take it. Make sure, if you get a discount plan, read it carefully....and make sure your dentist takes it. I found one dental insurance plan in Colorado, but it was so damn exspensive and had so many restrictions for the first year....just paying the dentist for regular cleanings and light work would be cheaper.

You would be surprised how much a dremel comes in handy....

Honestly dental prices are not that expensive, ubless you need soem serious corrective surgery, I went into a NYC dentist got 3 cavities drilled and filled for $250
...alot better than payin about $100 monh for dental ins.

toothpaste is the best dental insurance
