We should form a collective database of fucking retarded clients, so we never have to work with them again.

Good idea. I'd only post them under an assumed name though for fear that some shithead here will send the client an email saying how much I hated them.
I have at least 3 I'd put on the list.

i google my clients before i accept work. one time, this lady called and she wanted a website.
i google and her name came up and she was involved in some alligation. i declined her offer.

i took on a new client once while freelancing. she found me on the net. she was middle-aged and owned her own company. we talked for a bit about her project and i invited her over the my office (my townhome) to talk about it more. i told her the directions and she sounded weird when she said 'yeah, i think i know that place'
well, when she showed up she was out of her mind mad. seems my roomie had nailed her and never called her back. she was half drunk when he brought her over so until now she didn't know where he lived.
things got SUPER ugly when he came home. holy fuck i thought people were going to die.
after the shit hit the fan she looks at me and goes 'now are you gonna do my fucking project or what?' um... no. she'd be on the list.

hahaha, kOna, that's a classic story.
was she hot? did you sleep with her after that? hahaha

naming and shaming? Come on, we're professionals! Shouldn't we revert to once bitten twice shy?
- mattyd0
haha, wow, thats some story kOna.
cripes.
if i were in your position i think id be stunned at first and then id just start that nervous laugh which would probably make way to me just laughing directly in her face.

(Jul 25 05, 09:42)She was super hot for a 45 or 50 something woman. She called for a few days wanting me to do the work for her but I kept turning it down. Eventually though money got tight and I had no choice but to do the print work. It was tall cash and I needed it. I told her one condition I got my money up front. She agreed.
When I took the concept prints to her last minute she said 'meet me at my place'... uh oh.
Turns out I worried for nothing. The first half hour of the meeting was cool. We talked about the project and colors and what not. Then she poured a glass of wine for the two of us. Uh oh. Then came the tour of the house. Oh boy. Then came the bedroom where she said and I quote "this is where the magic happens"... haha.
I won't go on.

I don't deal with morons, I sue them. Up front like with good solid contracts.
- ********0
haha. nice guys.
definetly nothing like that happened. i refused her work but i must admit for an older lady she was really good looking.
- jpolk0
i typically sign a contract, sue on some minor breach and move on. like why do the work if you don't have to?
