I just got an email asking me not to wear t-shirts to work , “regardless if it's casual Friday”

I concur... I wear t-shirts, short and flip flops everyday and I still feel crappy about my job almost everyday as well. a job ain't nothin but some work...

My boss does that too!!! My review is up next month. I can hear those words...we like your work but you wear t-shirts on Friday so we can't give any extra money this time.

Man whatever at my last job I used to get in trouble with the top management for not tucking my shirt in.
Also, I interviewed for a web job recently and the environment was super uptight and everyone was wearing suits. Who the hell wants to design a website or could feel remotely creative in a suit?

not all jobs suck. i thought so, but 2 out of 4 of my jobs were/are great.
the ones that really blew were in washington dc where i had dress codes. we're freakin' designers for ****sake.
anyway, new york city rocks so far. no dress codes, everyone's a freakin' designer, for all that's good and bad. bright side is that you get less of that, "oh, so you're a designer, wow, you must be creative." and the worst, "you guys are a strange breed".
whatever... just let people be who they want to be... my god...
