MS Office X Serial Number

Greetings one and all...
I am trying to install Office X on my machine but it is clashing with another one on the network in work as we seem to have exceeded our license agreement...
Any suggestions on how to overcome this problem? I've downloaded Serial Box but the program is remembering the serial key even after I dump the program.
Answers on a postcard please.

Hmmm... can I dump an Microsoft Office preference, ie. the one that is remembering the old serial number, from my machine? If so, does anyone know where it is?!

this might be the stupidest thread i have seen posted in a "public" forum. might want to rethink what you are asking here. good luck with that though...

if i remember correctly, Office X places prefs in both OS X and the old OS 9 prefs folders...
you may need to dig around in the OS 9 prefs and trash those files as well...

You could try not using Office.
