first one. Lighten the load on the top and then add some weight near the bottom. Good concept though

Aside from what's already been said, the only thing I can see is that there's going to be a bit of a scrolling issue once it goes live-- you don't really lose any of the important details, but it's someithng to comsider.

the first one. you can try something real cool and simple by making the photos duotone to weight the page and at the same time and make the photos work together more, and not make it too blueish... but nice overall.

#1, agree with robotron about a light blue duotone, and loose the blue bevel on the bottom photos.
Also agree with lightening the blue around the top elements to help balance the page, I would use the light blue from the top of the gradient.

Especially in the bottom part I say give the type some more breathing room as well...

Yeah the first one but it feels "top heavy" the content at the top overpowers the bottom content because it is on a lighter background.
