i've got some images that were scanned in without accounting for the halftone. so now they've got a halftone pattern on them.
how can i make that go away? is there a photoshop filter for it? i can't rescan the images, i don't have access to the source...

If the images are being printed on a decent ctp platesetter for litho printing, you may not have to touch them at all, because some do away with lines per inch and lay the dot down 'randomly' - stochastic it's called.
