sounds like shellie hates o-side, not san diego. i think you'd be very pleasantly surprised if you took a trip down to the city.

F_18 ive spent SOOO much time in the city. you dont think allt he oceanside bumpinks dont drive down to the city for something to do? or the marines?

actually, no. i didn't think they did. i consider o-side a self contained community. most of those "north county" people don't come down here much at all, unless its to drink on the beach in PB. BTW, the city is a different place altogether now. i don't know when the last time you were here was, but if it was longer than 2 years ago, you have no idea whats going on. there are some very cool, and culturally relevant things going on here.

he may have moved (mr. grand wizard) temecula isnt that far away though. I've actually never spent more than 10 minutes filling up my gas in ocean side while on my way to La Jolla or SD.
the trash doesn't travel far from the trailer park. SD is their stomping grounds.
also.. because of the super bible thumping republican college crowd, as well as marines and white supremecists, there's a lot of gay bashing and fights with liberals. I've seen it... with my own two brown eyes.

you're right. north county is a joke for anything you'd consider culture, unless that includes lifting your truck, listening to slayer and wearing white arnettes.
downtown is probably one of the coolest places ever. driving around a month or two ago, made me realize how much money I need to make in order to live there.

meh. i went to la jolla about a month ago to visit an old old friend from san clemente/dana point who moved there (boo hiss).
but i didnt go into SD.
Sorry to be sucha hater. but you also do understand i spent like all my teenage years partying there. Because I'm from south county OC, instead of going to LA, we went to SD every weekend. So i've had enough to be totally over it. the payoff wouldnt be that amazing for the drive at this point.

I believe that. I guess stick to the downtown, hillcrest, university heights area. Seems to me, that's the coolest place to be.. and probably the most accepting of alternative lifestyles. Especially Hillcrest.. the down south we ho.

damn shellie, i don't know. i've never seen anything along the lines of what you're talking about down in the city. i can't speak for o-side cause i don't hang out there. we're about to have a democrat mayor, so things must be changing around here.

I'm sorry to hear that you had bad experience, but if you can't tolerate the hate you say there is in oceanside (wich I don't really know about), My advise is don't go to greece either, or most places around the world..
One thing is that you don't enjoy a place because of personal bad experience that bring sad memories to you.
and another one is to say that some place is just boring.
I'm sure is not your thing that's all

San Diego (the Casbah in particular) is good when a band sells-out it's LA gig(s). Long live RFTC and HotSnakes though!
