friday is my last day before vacation!
actually don't leave until tuesday but i took monday off too. i have some fun stuff planned for the weekend like a wig party, and perhaps a visiting friend.
on vacation i'm visiting friends in tacoma, and also going camping up in the canadian rockies.
i won't be back at work until august 11th!
3 days + 1 hour today of work left until i'm free!

Thursday is my last day.
Friday night - wedding in Maine.
Sunday - the next Sunday - chilling on the beach at Martha's Vineyard.
i'm giddy with excitement.

i don't go on that many vacations. i just talk about them a lot.
also i travel for work a bit, and usually get one day of leisure thrown in there...

hey gruntt, where you staying? have you been there before?
i used to live and work summers there.
the nice beaches are up island, in chillmark, Lucy Vincent beach, Squibnocket.
I miss it there so much, that place is magic, but a zoo in the summer.

mogwai - this will be my 5th summer in a row going up there. we always stay in Aquinnah. House is tucked away in the woods. no neighbors too close. little pond.

you're right it can be crazy but we're on the mellow end of the island.
of course we'll make a few trips to oak bluffs to stock up on alcohol. =)

well i lived in Vineyard Haven and worked in Oak Bluffs, so yeah, chaos. but this was like 12 years ago, i imagine its much worse now.
took my wife there for our homeymoon a few years ago and stayed in menemsha.
i miss it dearly

menemsha is one of my favorite spots. my wife and i have a tradtion of getting lobsters to-go at larsen's then eat on the beach watching the sunset with all the other folks. applauding when the sun officially sets.
