sounds like if they're owned by the same, they wanted product consistency.

But I guess if they are owned by the same company, then there might be some brand guidlines that are in affect.

You know what - if a client showed up to your office/house, witha briefcase full of greens and said they wanted 4 websites all using the same template design...well...I bet you'd have a long hard think about it wouldn't you....
