ok, this is the deal.
I am converting MP4 tracks in quicktime 7 to .wav and .aiff files for a CD-R to play in my car. I need to know. What encoding type will play in a car stereo (e.g. A-Law, Linear PCM, etc.)
Now I have had some trouble being able to play .wav and .aiff files through my car.
Can anyone give me some pointers?
And no, I will not be using a CD Burner... I need to figure out how to do this using only Quicktime (job related)

it really depends on what kind of CD player you got in your car.
with out lead in lead out, the cd wont eve play unless it has native WAV, AIFF, etc player.
most cars will play WAV but you still need lead in and lead out

I have a McIntosh Audio System in my car.
How do I add a Lead in - Lead out?

lead in and lead out = burning it as music cd
check ur car deck manual, it will tell u if it plays direct Mpegs or Wav files.

well, it says that if plays .wav files... would bit rates/sample size effect if it plays or not?

nope, if it says it play wav files than it should play it.
best way to find out is, burn a cd and yank it in
