(Jul 15 05, 19:30)my relatives are connected to this brewery. there are tunnels under the Troy Hill slopes that used to keep beer cold in the 1860's when there was no such thing as refrigeration.
ACE!

being in milwaukee, there are like 10 brewery tours you can go on, although I have only gone to the miller one once.

In regard to the 'Stella' beer from Egypt. Don't forget the Phoenicians claim to have come up with fermenting wheat for beer long before the Chinese and Germans did.

I need to try the rouges, I've had yellow snow, but it wasn't appealing to me...

(Jul 15 05, 20:10)hell yeah. i had a few great times i can't remember drinking that stuff.

Not sure if they've been suggested, but here are some rare ones to keep your eyes out for:
Saison Dupont. A brilliant Belgian beer brewed on a small farm. This is like the Crystale of beers. Cherish it.
Hair of the Dog. Any of their beers are an experience. It's a small botique brewery in Portland. Wicked shit though, like %9-13.
Something much more common and delecious is Contender. A German Doppledonk. Great with a bowl of choco-ice-cream

All I can suggest is Wild Turkey. Why waste your time on 3000 beers when you can invest in a 1 quality drink?

Best beers I ever had were from a basement bar in Toronta - I remember one tasted of coffee and the other was blackcurrant.
Quite partial to a Cherry Framboise though but they're quite expensive.
