the myth of the liberal media is exactly that, a myth. this phrase has been used to death and seems to only surface everytime a "conservative" get into some trouble (see tom delay for example 1). the "liberal" media called the election for bush in 2000, acted as one huge cheerleading squad for the Iraq war, and panned the shit out of John Kerry in 2004. Again, a baseless claim. Reporting on ongoing investigations regarding national security and a possible breach of it isn't a witch hunt, its called inverstigative reporting.

her husband went to Niger to investigate if saddam was trying to buy nuclear materials. when his research didnt jive with what the admin wanted, they outed his wife as being a cia agent, thus throwing their entire life into turmoil and potentially putting her contacts at risk.
