i too would love to know of a source for this.

check your brushes in illustrator...

if you really want it to look realistic, take a high res shot of wood or scan some, bump the contrast and put it through streamline...

use the hot new trace in illustrator CS2. contrast the shit out of it in photoshop then bring it over to illustrator and trace it.
