- cellgfx0
do you mean the movies or the instructional videos?
- anzelina0
movies, like the "family friendly" version of real movies.
- cellgfx0
why do you want "family friendly" versions of films? impatient 6 year old who really wants to see Dark Water?
- scarabin0
blockbuster censors everything.
check their used shit
- anzelina0
blockbuster censors?
how do you mean?doesn't walmart do that too?
- cellgfx0
can't you buy the proper version and then set the parental level on your dvd player?
- anzelina0
cell, how do i do that?
- cellgfx0
I'm not sure - it usually depends on the make of DVD player. The better ones (Sony, etc.) allow you to go into the player settings and activate a parental level. For example, I can set my player at PG and it skips the "offensive" sections of the DVD.
Ah, here you go : http://www.dvd-replica.com/DVD/v…

my pleasure. i am, after all, a mine of relatively useless information!
- scarabin0
by censoring everything i mean that blockbuster actually takes out of films whatever they want to before offering it up for rent
it's so bad that in my cinema class we were told to not even bother with them

wow.. i didn't realize blockbuster did that... messed up.
i'll second the DVD player levels. i had to set that up for my aunt...

it's weird that they don't have it anywhere even in the fine print in the 'about blockbuster' section of the blockbuster website.
do they make all R movies into pg-13s?
or just how extensive is the censorship?
- scarabin0
i'm not sure what exactly their policies regarding this sort of thing is, but i ran into it a couple times before i said fuck them and switched to online rentals
one was caligula and the other was dead alive i think. another was 'spun'
