ok is anyone else annoyed that adobe scrapped the box next to the layer thumbnail in the layer pallet where you could link click to link layers? i hate having to right click to link, and its harder to unlink just one layer in a group
- alkanenine0
it should be on the bottom of the pallette as well.

oh thanks i did not see it down there....
but say i have 4 layers linked, and i want to unlink a layer without selecting it, i can not do that.
- alkanenine0

bingo. rock thanks. my first day with cs. i was bullheaded long enough with my v7

i like cs2.

DTRL + left click does not unlink it. it selects it in addiion to the current layer

ctrl click or shift click:
the best innovation in ps:
makes me working with layers a looot faster

AHHHH, ok i am about to uninstall this piece of crap.
how do you marquee select the contents of a layer. used to just be ctrl click i think.
- ldww0
that does not remove the link icon from the layer
- Fariska0
ctrl click on thumbnail = marquee select
ctrl click on layer's names select layer. Just like in the regular OS interface: ctrl click: add files at your selection

anyone know what the problem is?
- Fariska0
right click>unlink layers
The link is not more necessary with multiple selection of layers

Shift click the link icon on the right of side of th layer
a red x will cross out the sink chain.but its probably better to go back to ps7, i dont know if you can take all the other changes that you will encounter.
good luck

bingo that was it. strange that it does not remove the link it, but whatever it works.
