its a common thing that happens in HK. Alot of people find them selves in your position. You could go to other forumns to figure out the psyche of others that are in similar situtation but most of the guys (in HK forumns) was get girls for ML, ONS, SP or etc..
try to just find someone to talk to when you feel this way. here or anywhere else

one more thing, i think its also has to do with culture it self. as you get older, you want to find someone who you think that will have a future. as a girl in HK, alot of guy approach you but you have this ideal person that you want to meet. you dont wanna waste time dating and figure out. i know alot of friends (girls) in HK who are in similar sistutation. they want to date someone they think they have a future with. they dont wanna waste with someone who cant support you later.

i am not a porkchop (MrDinky where are you from why do you know this cantonese slang...?) and i dont have any "expectation of what i deserve", i just want to have someone who has the the same flow of thoughts and so we could truly communicate with each other. it's already very difficult and i dare not to think about future...

its funny i heard that so many times from all the girls that i know in HK. but when it comes down to it, they are picky and not sure where you they wanna take it to.
i think everyone has that desire to be with someone who can be sure that they are compatible. i guess only way to find out is for you to take a chance on someone

Norika, at first I'd like to point out that you're brave girls, because it's not easy to tell to everyone you're lonely and you're not satisfied with it.
As far as I'm sharing the same situation, I think that such girl as you (pretty one, talented designer, someone creative), would be a perfect match to someone who might be feeling the very same feelings.
One say don't look for it, other say look for it. Doesn't matter, just remember, that you shouldn't feel defeated, you would be surprised how many people are single and feeling lonely, but somehow they're avoiding each other.
