I'm generating an OpenType font named Skelly. Can someone tell me how I can get it to sample like the rest of the fonts in the Illustrator menu? Why does it come up different?
I'll send the font to whoever can help me out ;)

You mean it does not show the name of your font typed out in your typeface in the menu ?

no, check that link i posted for a screenshot. it has the name of my font in some generic typeface and in brackets. and it's followed by the letters BCDEF which ARE in my typeface.
there's maybe 3 or 4 other fonts in my list that are like that. but not ones that i've made. I just want mine to sample like all the rest.

Whoa thats really weird, when I exported my font as OpenType I never had this problem and never had to do anything special, trying to think what would cause this. Hmm thinking.

There's a few other OpenType fonts on my computer (with that teal/purple "O" icon) and some of them show up the same way that my font does. Not all of them though, maybe 3 or 4.

Compare the encoding of your font with those that are working.

Put a help ticket in through FontLab (on their site) and have them answer your question.
