Can you replace them? Or do I need to buy a new pen?
Would a worn nib make it sorta jumpy?

i haven't been able to figure out how to replace the nibs...
i got 3 extra ones when i bought my wacom... just no idea how to swap them.

you can't constanlty play with your nibs or they lose sensitivity.

I swear I heard somewhere that they can wear down after a lot of use..
anyway, I bought an intuos2 yesterday (used) and it's a little jumpy on the finer stuff. I installed the newest driver for osx too. I figured, I could start fresh.
I was under the impression that you could replace them.. maybe not.. maybe that's not even the problem

yep you can replace them. I've done it a couple times. I think I found a quick tutorial on the wacom site on how to do it..
but basically just take a pair of needle nose pliers and VERY gently pull the old nib out of the pen. Take a new nip and push it back into the pen. BEWARE: the nips have just one pointy side. You don't want to put the new one in backwards.

yeah, like clear said;
i was using the same nib for like 3 years, and it started to wear down -
i mean, its plastic against plastic, constantly chaffing eachotherbut hell yeah, i swear by my wacom ;)

you simply pull it out and push in the new one I have to do it all the time as I chew the hell out of mine, I alsoi use it to get food out from inbetween my teeth, I'm pretty disgusting when it comes to it really.

my wacom and pen/nibs came with a silver metal ring - the metal ring has a tiny hole cut in it.
you use the ring like tweezers to pull out old nibs and put in a new one.

i would recommend the stroke nibs.
maybe it has to do with the cintiq surface but they give a much better paper feel and firction to me. I do replace the nib when i sense i don't get full control over pressure sensitivity anymore (6months maybe). There is a small spring in the nib which may wear out faster but it's worth it, i got 10 a couple years ago here.

last month i was so puzzled over what was wrong with my wacom, it was clicking intermittently, the pressure wasn't working.. till finally i realized the point was worn off. I found somebody with a spare, pulled the old one out with my teeth, pushed in the new and voila! back in business.

I got a pack of maybe 10 togheter with my board. In the little box that held the mouse and pen. Check it to see if you haven/t missed it in there.
