hi guys,
We are planning to have an europe trip beginning from cologne this month's 14th and then passing as fast as we can through Paris because we heard it is expensiveand San Sebastian area and to Lisboa and that coast of the country.First question, how is the weather out there this time of summer, is it colder than the mediterrainen part of the spain?
Secondly, I need names a must visit around spain and portugal because It will be our only chance to go there this summer. We will rent a car so I dont think distance would be an issue as long as it is not that far.So I need places to visit, campl places where we can spend our time, we are motivated to stay in cheap places as long as people are cool.
all advices are welcome.

regarding Portugal I can mail you the most interesting places to see/visit.
Spain? I love the Andaluzia region, namely Granada, Cordoba and Seville.

my advices are this :
if you do whiz through paris make sure to spend an evening outside, sitting by fountains and whatnot. perhaps st. michael? [sp!]
i guess that's only one advice.

lisboa.. about 30ºC outside atm i believe. and it's going to get hotter very soon. about 2 weeks ago we had like 40ºC (!)!!
in lisbon, go visit the old neighberhoods like alfama and costa do castelo, bairro alto. if you need some advices on where to go just ask.
take care and enjoy you're stay here. just drink some red wine and eat some chouriço assado and listen to fado music. heeh :)

Please share your wisdoms guys. I want to swim in the mediterrainen like beaches never swim in the ocean before as well. We can also fly to san sebastian and rent a car there, only it will be much more expensive than renting from germany.
I also want to visit portugal but it scares me as I dont have any information about the towns except from Lisbon and Porto. I want to experience beautiful beaches so unfit yeah a mail would be really awesome. Do u have campsites, are there any places that we can sleep in our sleeping bags. This also the case in spain.
Jox, see you on the road :)

JazX, i can see the madrid girl did make a hit, uh? and oh... you are a sissy!!! what's this about the mediterranean being cold! it's definitely not...
oz, one thing... if you will be coming by car (or plane) to san sebastian, then you'd be about 7 hrs away from the mediterranean, and to get to lisboa by car would mean you'd either have to go within spain (inland) or through the cantabrian sea (atlantic, up north). the option of going through the mediterranean coast is longer (by it's beautiful, also).
in portugal, you'd swim in the atlantic ocean (JazX, that's cold). for nice beaches, the algarve's really good.
so...summing up, i honesltly believe a good guide will also help you loads (at least you'll get an idea of what to see)...
i'm like the "lonely planet" guide (http://www.lonelyplanet.com)
