guys, I need some advice on this:
meand friends gonna take our friend's car from cologne and ride around the europe for two weeks. Theproblem is the car hasnt got insurance that is covering the whole EU but only germany. So do u guys think is it better to insure this car for the whole EU (and we dont know a clue how to do it) or is it better to rent a car for our trip?thanks in advance

A few weeks insurance is only like 100-200 EUR depending on the level (I've had those when importing vehicles). Talk to the insurance company, surely they can work out some sort of deal.

afair any car insurance in Europe is valid in the whole EU.
At least what i know is that since Poland joined EU last year we don't need additional insurance in EU anymore. I'd be surprised if it's different in Germany, they should follow the same EU law.

You need someone from Germany for decent info, Rabattski, Tomkat, Wendell?... :)

your own insurance company should be able to offer you comprehensive full eu cover? otherwise you'll probably just have the minimum legal 3rd party cover required for the rest of the eu.

?
check your green insurance card.
there has to be a table/map showing the countries where it is valid.
