thanks irrelevent, I agree with you about the printing yerself. It's a bit of a gamble unless you set it up so you just screen them as you get the orders, nothing worse than printing 100 shirts and nobody is digging them...
I figured I wasn't gonna win, the lego one was probably the best in terms of widespread appeal, but still geared towards a specific market, which I felt threadless hadn't really done anything towards. Unfortunately, I think the design wouldn't have reproduced very well, too much detail...

Holy crap! I just realized that Threadless has a contest for one of my favourite bands, Eisley.

You know, I was just thinking we needed a threadless thread.

I have a few submissions I work on every now and then, just don't have much spare time for them. Soon I hope.
But their selections have been poor lately. I miss some of the cooler Prate, designgraphik, type of stuff.
Even though the graphic tee under a blazer look is very tired now, someone said it best when they said that there are not many shirts on threadless anymore that look good under a blazer...
Too many submissions have to have a huge point to them, and be witty and smart with some kind of slogan or hidden meaning.
What happened to much of the abstract art kind of stuff that used to be on there?

I think will design a newstoday shirt that when pressed will play the "newstoday" chime

(Jul 7 05, 07:27)I agree, the abstract stuff was good, why does it always have to have some message?

Regardless of threadless, snuggles did a wicked awesome typophile t with anatomy of lead type on it, if I am not mistaken.
- snuggles0
Too much handrawn stuff out there, not enough good graphic tees.

I did an abstract one once, it was shot down as well..
I agree, I like the abstract ones like derush use to do.
Here was my abstract submission over a year ago. Looking at it now, it needed a little more and placement wasnt all that great

ha, thanks negative, if I died tomorrow that shirt is the only thing i would be remembered for!

no snuggles, you will be remembered for the "I'm with the band" shirt :)
- NegativeSpace0
Nah you have lots of good work in your folio, I remembered the typophile t because when I finally got around to signing up there I couldn't because of the new version, and that was the one I chose.

Hey JazX, did that shirt ever get printed? Because it's awesome.
- JazX0
No Jaline. hahhaa it was just for fun anyway, never thought I'd win.
thanks
- snuggles0
I was kidding, and sincerely not fishing for compliments, but thanks!
JazX, nice shirt man, I see so little of your design work, it's nice to see something..

Jaz..
I would print that shirt :)
but I think that if you put the paisly designs coming off his body and guitar extensions would look bad ass. Like if he was on fire with paisleys.

Snuggles, "that mixer is rubbish"... haha! you should go punch someone in the face for those comments. bastards

I was thinking of implementing a colaborative design thang with Tinymeat. Instead of tshirts though they are wallets and iPod cases.
I am looking for a financial model that would be beneficial for everyone. Perhaps sharing in the profits on those chosen designs sold through my site and wholesale accts.http:www.tinymeat.com
