I need a logo crit too.
For a Tapas bar at the base of a ski resort gondola. This place will have coffee, beer and wine as well.

they look real slick, i like 7 and 8 the best. 7 is much more open. They look like boutique beer labels. Is this what you were aiming for?

These are looking really great. What would help me decide better is if you knew what sort of feel they were going for. Are they doing the typical "mountain lodge" thing or are they trying to be a little more hip or yuppyish, maybe a little world-ish?
If i had to pick without knowing the theme, i'd say #2 or 3, though i'm not absolutely in love with the typeface for "Mountain".
I like the gondolas. I think those could be used in some really fun ways.

i like 8...but any of the 4's remind me of beer. so if that's what you're shootin' for...

i like 2, 5 and 8. you've got some good ideas and sketches, just get it all together: like use the "rugged" mountains in 9 on 8 instead of the smooth vector mountains, etc.
the mountains on 5 looks more like it's ripped.
yeah, just get all the good elements together.

nice start, i quite like the concept of 1A, I think you could have a really nice symbol and wordmark there, but i think it should be less literal, good work.

mayo, the client said they want something to represent the ruggedness of the town (an old mining town) and be hip and stylish at the same time. fun huh?

oh yeah, we got that request my first year at my job (in fact, it was the first job where i got to use a metallic ink :D). We're 45 minutes from Tahoe and the client was opening a new village up there. They wanted to represent the mountain and outdoors that Tahoe is known for, but they wanted it to appeal to rich yuppies who would be able to afford it.

8 can be very well applied on all sorts of things and can really grow as a brand/trademark.. it has potential.
