I know a thread was started earlier for info on how to hack a PSP. I actually have one and have already hacked it. I have a concern though which stems from the fact that a co-worker just informed me that newer game releases are going to require you update the firmware in order to play the games. Has anyone read about this? Also... has anyone successfully hacked the 1.51 firmware and above?

seriously, what kid would find downloading updates more exciting then downloading "shady" hacks?
that would be so damn smart of them. don't think they would though..
but still..

I was just thinking about them making you upgrade to 1.52.
Isnt this assuming that all psp owners have a wifi network?

you could update it online from their site probably
all you have to do is get the update onto your memory stick

that also assumes that you have a computer.
I'm just thinking the logistics of it are pretty lame.

i can't wait until y gets the snes emu working at full speed.
i say fuck pirating psp games until a few years from now, we don't want to raise prices on already expensive games, or force game developers to spend less time, energy, and care on games because they won't make a profit
hackers should learn to stay content with roms and new feature hacks for now...

by the time GTA comes out, there should be a working UMD dump (heehee) loader. sans the auto-update.

the hackers are as fast as the developers with this one.
