I want to take my wife to Brazil this winter. I want to see alot of the Brazilian culture and she wants a really nice hotel on a really nice beach (really we both want both of those).
Anyone have advice on where we should go? Stay?

My buddies live in Florianopolis (Floripa), which is an island w/ 32 beaches. Remember summer is winter there, and vice versa.

ha! let my say, JazX my mate, that for us you northern hemisphere people are running the opposite...
it makes much more sense to start everything on a calendar-wise way (say, the schoolyear starts in march instead of september, for example)...
but then again i moved to this upside-down hemisphere, so i'm getting used to this...
weird.

CaP, I know when living in the Southern Hemi, my bodies equilibrium got THROWN off BIGTIME and I've never recovered. I seriously don't think I have. it was whacked like for a while I didn't see a summer travelling back and forth for like two years. strange

ha! i do exactly the opposite: have normal summer here, and then on xmas and new year's i go to see my family + friends and have 2 more weeks of summer... it's pretty neat.
