I think i_monk's got a great point. I haven't been to the exhibit in TO yet but I do plan on going.
But, I have watched this Massive Change thing for awhile and I don't really find anything in it that's terribly exciting.
Plus, I think Bruce Mau is a dumbass so . . .
I think stuff like this get's me more excited:

i wish i'd bought the book. cause i walked through that exhibit in 10 minutes. damn there was a lot of text to look at (ie read.) -- and art, should not be read.

I saw Massive Change at the AGO in Toronto a few weeks ago.
I wasn't impressed at all. Sure there's a lot of information to absorb, but there's very little specific change offered up as solutions to current problems. Many of the problems aren't even acknowledged as problems by those who would be needed to change things. Ok so hundreds of millions of people around the world don't own the land they've lived on for generations, and the coming 'change' is probably that they'll have their land bought out from under them by foreigners. Who does that help? Guns inspired by SuperSoakers? Chairs made of cardboard? So what?
Massive Change felt more like something belonging to the mid 90s, when Gee Golly The Future was all the rage.

Is the book worth the 33 Euros? Don't want to pay that much for 5 pages of text and 100 pages of pictures.

it wasn't at the time.

I had never thought before that....you know, together we can really make things change.
If we put all our intelligence together, we create mad stuff!!
Human is smart enough to find a solution to all problems. Of course it's not that easy, but still..it's pretty cool

I thought the book didn't give a good tribute to the exhibit... I don't know, I saw it in toronto in march..and I still think about it.
Actually the book is an excellent complement of the exhibit, they go perfect together
It must have been something to see it in Van, since it was made for that museum. it's never quite the same when the exhibit moves.
