first of all, i don't live under a rock, i just don't check the design observer forum that frequently, soooo that's why 2 years later i'm commenting about this jessica helfand crit of tufte:

http://www.edwardtufte.com/all in all jessica helfand and design observer respondants gave me some good laughs. i give her credit for at least questioning his rise to fame and his 'design.'

personally, i don't think he 's any more self-important than the author of that article assuming i care what she thinks of him. those articles just seemed "whiny." i'd like to meet him, though. his wife teaches typography at my school.
