Mh, it's about a year that I've seen the page of the (former responsible?) agency... Maybe it's not longer that one, but it at least was...

the macromedia.com site is done all in-house. 100%
they also are contracted out to do many, many other sites as any agency would.

This is maybe. Im sure that an external agency would of had some envolvement in the design/concept at the off, Im sure I saw it on a site somewhere before

akqa did some stuff for them a while back.. not sure if they did the homepage though

this is true mcmagic. i do though, have a friend who works at marcromedia as manager of ALL digital assests (think copies of every app they have ever made) and he works with the design team quite a bit. he has assured me the latest site was done in-house 100%.
very, very possible though, that they had some other creative ageny(s) submit art direction comps for the direction of the site from the outset. this i cannot comment on.

Method did their previous one, but I'm not sure if they were involved in this latest version though. Go see at http://www.method.com

Seems like it is Method after all...

trust me more than likey an agency built that initial site for them and gave Macromedia a CMS, I mean for sh*t sake they built Contribute. hahah they have to have on-staff content controllers.
