For a home theater consultant/installer.

Have a go.

i like it i think the client will too... it got that white with the shadows look which is kinda the trend right now i think. the only things i didnt like was the links. I dont like the roll over with the really thin like it kinda bothers me like the line is outta place maybe it should be thicker alittle so it doesnt look like the letter L but it is thinner then the rest of the letter..i just dont like it really i think a basic roll over colour might be enough. and i can see pixels in the screen of the TV might want to clean that up.
or im stupid...

its ok. it works

the nav is a bit wierd...i agree that a simple color change rather than the line on the left would be nicer...the type in the paragraph on the bottom right throws me a bit too...i guess what i'm thinking is, is this a splash page?...i can't see how you are going to create subpages with this layout...very clean though...that's why the subtle type stuff sticks out

i agree what everyone has said about the nav. i would think about making it horizontal. also, think about putting the HOOK ME UP perhaps in perspective on the tv, eh? the leading on that little blerb is horrible. has a lot of potential, keep refining.

thanks all.

right look and feel - not sure about the nav tho
Can you show us an internal page?
- F_180
i'll have an internal on firday i think. i'll bump this when i do.
- jevad0
please do
looking forward to seeing more

I like the Navigation.
If your type is all going to stay that size, its too big, so if it were me designing this, I would keep the nav big, and shrink everything else in point size. And the wide leading is horrible.

doesn't seem finished, but looking nice.

and after a few rounds of changes:

just a thought, what about color coded sections?
- F_180
thanks jevad. i value your opinion.
jpolk, i had suggested this at the inital meeting, but we reached a consensus that we'd try to keep the design as minimal as possible. plus, the only colors he uses are orange and grey, so its in keeping with his brand as well.

The horizontal layout of the nav is much nicer. Just a thought, but what if that was a one pixel grey line underneath the nav type (that switched to orange on mouseover) instead of the heavy bar. It seems heavy and a thin line would relate to the logo treatment. Also, can you move the contact link to the top right corner? It messes up your grid where it is. Also, the dotted lines look a little blurry - maybe go a little cleaner on them. Don't take the input wrong - overall, looks nice and clean.
- F_180
those are good suggestions testpilot, i'll take them into account when i present. The dotted lines are blurry because i believe the whole bottom chunk is a jpeg, so once i make it all html, they'll be GIF'ed and crisp. thanks, and of course i don't take contstructive crits personally. they help me be a better designer.

Very cool. Input via text can come across wrong. That makes sense about the JPG too.
