Amen...although I don't quite identify with some of your examples, I agree.
Speaking of the French though...I saw something that made me chuckle today. So I'm driving and I see a personalized license plate that reads FRGPRNC...I'm thinking...Frog Prince?! What kind of moron...then I see the guy barely peeking through the steering wheel....It was this little guy who had a puckered look on his face...obviously a lil french guy. French ppl make me laugh, don't know why but they do. Bring it on fuckers!!

This is just a rant to some degree to express how much I love and appreciate America and Americans. There are so many threads started with bad American rhetoric that I thought this one thread may balance out all that negative propaganda being spread through here on such a daily basis.
I noticed it doesn't matter what America does in the minds of liberals and euro-nationalists. If America single handedly solved the AIDS epidemic there would be outrage that we spent the money on AIDS where "only" x percent were infected rather than world hunger.
There is no winning when you are in the spotlight. It is comparable to being a celebrity that 99.99% don't know personally but have a strong negative opinion about. The majority of the 99.99% of people with those negative opinions are obviously envious and it's quite obvious when they lash out with such veracity.
People who don't live in America will never know America.
I know I will get backlash for this thread and may even get a strike for it but I thought now that most Europeans are finally asleep we can begin a positive thread about one of the greatest countries ever. There is nothing wrong with being a proud American as there is nothing wrong with being a proud Frenchman.
