Hey, all 3 NBA fans out there... were you pleased with how your team faired?
I follow the Bobcats, and am intrigued by the addition of 2 Tarheels. If nothing else, it will increase ticket sales.
I would have preferred taking a bigger chance with the 5th pick, and selecting Jarret Jack with the 13th pick, but that's why I'm a designer and not a GM.

I guess I'm one of them three.
Bobcats did ok, you should have taken Jack and not May, but then again they were going with the homestate kid.
I thought Boston did well and Golden State not too shabby with Chris Taft (sophpmore)who is way underated. All those HS and EU guys have much to prove. IMO, you got a bunch of Darko's throughout that draft. Never gonna' amount to sh*t and never will put on the weight and have the toughness.

Charlotte Bobcats. Bernie Bickerstaff and company picked two winners in Raymond Felton and Sean May. The two Tar Heels were national champions and they join another player who cut down the net in college in Emeka Okafor. Felton and May will help put people in the seats, too. I give them an A+.
New Orleans Hornets. Chris Paul will help Byron Scott's team for years to come, running the offense. I thought Atlanta would have been smart to take Paul instead of Marvin Williams because the Wake Forest guard would have fit in well with Josh Childress, Josh Smith and Al Harrington. The Hornets also got a steal in LSU's Brandon Bass early in the second round.
Utah Jazz. I felt Utah made the right move to trade up to get Deron Williams at No. 3. This team needed a point guard badly and Williams will fit into Jerry Sloan's system with players like Andrei Kirilenko and Carlos Boozer up front.
Minnesota Timberwolves. Rashad McCants was the best shooting guard in this draft, and those who were critical of his attitude, look at his interview on ESPNEWS the day before the draft. I was truly impressed with him, and putting McCants in with Kevin Garnett should be exciting. Add Bracey Wright in round two and Minnesota fared well.
Boston Celtics. Gerald Green was a steal at 18 in round one. Many had him projected in the top 10. Danny Ainge had to be thrilled to see Ryan Gomes available at No. 50. I felt Gomes should have gone late in the first round.
New York Knicks. Channing Frye and Nate Robinson in a deal with Phoenix both coming from the Pac-10, plus David Lee means Isiah Thomas gets a good grade.
Los Angeles Lakers. Andrew Bynum is a seven-footer with potential and there weren't many on the board at that point

again i will have to complain about stupid knicks taking stupid david lee. but channing frye was a good pick, i think he's not as frail as a lot of people think. he still needs to bulk up if he wants to be an nba center, though.

David Lee is a bust

should've gotten brandon bass. knicks love getting strong power forwards that are kinda undersized.
i guess they have to throw away one draft pick like they do every year ie Maciej Lampe, Eric Chenowith, Frederic Weis

Bass went to New Orleans also a homestate boy at LSU.

Im eager to see how Bogut does for my Bucks.
we needed a center for a while.

i know, knicks just need size or at least strong player that play like they're bigger than they are, not a weak forward that play like he's smaller than they is.

they say my Wizards got one of the true steals in the draft.
With the 49th pick, the got Andray Blatche, who people thought would go in the top 20.
They say he is a Poor Man's Garnett and a Rasheed Wallace without the headcase....
The WIzards future looks so good...

mrdobolina, I think Bogut is the real deal, he's just way too smooth on the court. plus, he's got that Aussie go get 'em could care less what color you are mentality. He's a winner.
Bogut - Utah #1 pick basketball
Alex Smith - Utah #1 pick footballcrazy

that's fun, you guys traded Thomas too
- vwsung18t0
kurt thomas once did the weirdest thing. he went out to block someone's shot, i think it was austin croshure. his fingers went perfectly between austin's hands and after the shot was shot, they were pretty much holding hands, and they landed holding hands. they brought their arms to their sides (still holding hands). then they let go and kurt thomas had his eyes WIDE open and didn't blink for so long. it made it even weirder when it was shown in slow replay, they were just showing the play.
