In an earlier age a Cambridge Don and his undergraduates took to the river Cam in a punt one summer afternoon.
Oppressed by the heat they moored and, abandoning their clothes on the river bank, went for a dip.
Swimming over, they climbed ashore and sprawled on the grass, still undressed.
At this point a second punt loomed into view with several
women among the party. The undergraduates, with various cries of horror, snatched up items of apparel to cover their modesty.Their tutor however calmly wrapped his head in a shirt, leaving everything else on display. when the commotion had died down his students asked him to explain his action. his reply:
"within the society that I frequent I am recognised by my face"
Interesting how many of these car bumpers turned to face the camera?
Only the lass in the first car has the sense to hide her identity...
