(Jun 28 05, 04:45)historically he did that in the other flicks, don't forget this was all set during that adventure book era.

yup. he fought dinos in the previous flicks (the origional and 70s remake).
the part where he ripped the mouth open of the snake scared the shit out of me when i saw it as a kid.
awesome though. can't wait!

I like the fact that they set it in the 30's. Thank god he didn't pull a Spielberg ala Jurassic Part III.
Ms. Watts reminds me of my grandmother when she was young in those shots.

PJ loves Kong, he wouldn't have made a mistake like that, just to follow the wow hollywood factor.
And man, did you see him? He lost like 80 pounds, he's skinny now!! 8-0

skt, do you work at weta, or do you know someone who does?
Could you ask them if I could have Naomi Watts number? she left something in my room...yikes.

To get more of an idea of what Jackson is going for in this version, try to find the classic 1933 version of King Kong if you haven't seen it. It's not a bad watch actually and way ahead of it's time.
In fact for you who know who he is, stop motion king Ray Harryhausen, was inspired by the work of the '33 Kong movie as a kid to do his own amazing work.
