150,000 people desended upon my sleepy little city for a four-day motorcycle rally.
hard not to love a weekend like that.

So there was also this party for a pal of mine who is a riverboat captain in St. Louis. He was here working on the rivers but decided to start his own business there on the Missouri River. He came back for the Jimmy Buffett show at PNC Park and so we got pretty pissed last night and men were behaving badly and all that.

I got lost on trails in Shawnee national Forrest and had to follow a railroad track for four hours to get out. It was a very interesting weekend.

helpful hint for those ever lost in the woods told to me by my grandfather.
look for a possum trail, that will always lead you to a road.

in quick version:
friday: went to the sox game with my gf and a wife of a white sox player she's personal training. sat in the wives section and met a bunch of the player's wives. after the game went down in the tunnel outside the locker room and met ozzie and his sons and the rest of the players' wives. left and went over to the persons house who my gf is training for a bbq and met a few more of the players. got shitty. never mentioned one word of baseball other than 'nice game'. they liked that.
our seats...
saturday: went to a pig roast at a cousins house who lives out in the middle of no where. parking in the nearby field. it was filled. beer truck had 10 kegs. oh my. got shitty.
sunday: recovered.

nice Kona. A good friend of mine married a NY Yankee minor league pitcher. He would have gone all the way had he not been injured. I've always made it a point to NOT talk baseball with him. It's truly the better way to go about it. Anytime we're at a social gathering he comes over to me to talk about art and get a break from the jock-stalkers.
