Anyone else catch this crap today?
Ronald Reagen beat out George Washington and Ben Franklin. You have to be kidding me. I can go on and on about how bad Reagan was for America.
It seriously bothers me, sorry.

You have a hot ass.
Sorry, honey. Don't hate me.

what's sadder is that the list had no artists or writers on it - entertainers and athletes were among the top picks...
... that to me is more bullshit than Reagan (who was a Great man).

no online couple thing !!
i like Ronnie. my fav. watching his biography got me inspired.
btw good job on qcity

Obviously you didn't know Reagan at all -

I agree on the artist thing.
I have just always been sort of down on Reagan since watching "And The Band Played On". Definatly not the type of person who understood what America needed like Abrham Lincoln.
But Bush was 6th, so we know who voted.

and thanks about the qc thing. Your work has been inspiring me for a while though. Always good stuff on your site.

I can see this thread going down the Reagan bashing road... which I'm not going to be a part of - out of the respect that he just passed away...
... and not to mention the fact that after the votes where tallied - Reagan was voted #1.... so obviously a few million out there didn't know Reagan either.
- infostruct0
No no, not trying to bash Reagan, just can't say he needs to be #1. Above King and Washington.

yes i know of his faults but yet i have this compassion for the man.
call it brain washing as i stared at his portrait in my childhood, while he kept me and my family safe from the communist north, while others were advocating troop redrawal.
i remember the time when i had to do monthly air drills. i always thought, if anything happens, regan will come as mcarthur did.
- ********0
indeed,
i could see regan being one of the top Republican but not as greatest of them all.
i cant say who would be the best since equally, every famous man has contributed to great change in their own right.

the whole idea of a 'greatest american' is tacky and vain in itself... but people suck celebrity and self-promoting vanity like cheap popsickles.
... bad idea - stop trying to fucking figure out who's number one work on bettering our lives.
... and Al Roker is HIDEOUS. I kept thinking Gallagher was going to pop out with his fucking sledge hammer and bust that melon on Al's neck.
- brooke0
Votes were tallied & did not include a broader list of American professionals. Also, Bush was on the list, for Christ's sake. What's wrong with this picture?!
- infostruct0
Bahahahaha. Roker is seriously one of the creepiest people on earth. Have you ever seen him on Conan or Letterman? He makes me uncomfortable.
- ********0
depends which bush, w or sr
either case, most of the ppl in that middle and southern section of US get different channels

brooke... couldn't agree with you more about list and the fact that Bush was anywhere near it...
... again - bummer on who made up the majority of the picked (entertainers - sports... etc)... Lame.
