I use a custom built P4 desktop, 512 mb memory. Been using Windows 2000 on this machine since it was released and never had any problems with it. Just switched to XP two days ago to use a new wireless network at home and it's really slowed everything down.
Gonna get a Powerbook soon for Mac-based design related stuff.
Gonna wait with my desktop until Longhorn comes out... gonna see how that is otherwise I might change to apple completely.
