Did anyone see Afra and the incredible beatbox band? Look out for them I say!

i heard that sonar was underwhelming this year - music wise.
If i ever get back there i'll skip the sonar main and just go to all the parties that happen before, during and after the festival.

Mouse on Mars, Cut Chemist, Afra & The Incredible Beatbox band, Soft Pink Truth, Monoceros, Rec_Overflow were all amazing by the way LoImpakt. I agree that a lot of the music was pretty underwhelming tho.

Seems like they put too much budget on the evening and not enough on the day.

im sure there was plenty fo greats. I wasn't evn there this year so it's just second hand information.

Went to some good parties outwith Sonar. Felix Cuban, Funckarma and the Accidental records party were alll good fun, but man am I paying for it now.

i didn't go to anything, just got fucked up on booze and drugs and wandered the city laughing at whores and swimming. Ole!

overall, we had fun, and saw loads of great bands, but thought that sonar by night was too controlled by it's sponsors (san miguel). And, when we bought water in the venue, they threw away the lids to prevent us filling them up. how tight is that? very dissapointing.

throwing the lids away doesn't prevent you from filling up a bottle. Now if they had welded the lids on, that would have been a bit nasty. or if they just poured the water into your mouth. or into your hands. or wet your t-shirt, so if you wanted a drink you had to take it off and wring it into your mouth - now that would have just been ridiculous! so sad.

Lowimpakt: yes i laughed at swimming. i also cried at walking and had a serious heart to heart with sitting down. You got a problem with that?
