tny, are car was smelling of this awful funk for the longest time and we couldn't figure out. We finally realized it was the repeated milk spills on the car seat cover. Had to wash that thing in Borax®. Man oh man.

I put a little baby wipe over his Chile when I change the diaper...keeps the stream deflected. Never had a problem with our baby Girl!
