ipod/itunes help

can anyone help me...im having trouble with my ipod and updating it with songs..the problem being that i have 2045 songs in my itunes library but then when i update my ipod it says only 1992 go onto it! anyone got any ideas as to why this is?
any help appreciated! cheers

happens to me too.. i think it's a certain type of mp3... you didn't download any songs illegally did you? um.

Also, if you've moved or deleted the songs on your pc/mac but not through itunes itself, itunes doesn't immidiatly remove them...

Ive heard of people converting legitimate CD's to mp3's but 'downloading' them....thats disgusting, I hope nobody hear does that!

went through all the songs and none are unchecked...there are about 20 it cant find but theres like 100 or so more that arnt on ther...and i dont kno which friggin songs it is!

Try this... highlight all the songs and right click / info. Click cancel.
Scrool down the song list and see if any of them have a msall exclamation mark next to them.
Not tried this, no idea if it'll work but you may as well try.
