I'm always surprised that there's actually a city called Yonkers.

SwollenElbow - man, I grew up in NewRo, I work in Mamaroneck but I live in Manhattan - I do the reverse commute thing and it rocks...I laugh at all the suckers on the West Side in the morning...

if you look toward joisey its mad sunny! and all that sun is comming toward manhattan!

i'm thinking of doing the reverse commute thing too.
from bklyn seems to far though.
what about queens?

I drive, so...
Brooklyn commute would suck. Queens ain't much better - depends where though. If you get somewhere in Astoria and jump on the triborrough early enough you should be OK...
I tend to stay away from the East side in the morning...I go West Side/Henry Hudson/Cross County

my friend working at time warner says its lightning like a disco outside lotsa heavy thunder
- anzelina0
yeah if i did queens i'd do astoria.
t'would be nice, i could keep a car.
i wouldn't mind a longer commute than the one i have now (40 minutes) if it meant i lived closer to things i want to do. namely nyc.

swollenelbow - don't work for a design house in mamaroneck - none that I know of are here. I have a "day job" which gives me my health care coverage, I do freelance design work at night and also have a company with a friend of mine and we publish a magazine and websites about brazilian martial arts of which I basically do all production/design, etc...

it's okay for ladies to get wet because they look even more sexier. as for guys... i am not sure. if i walk in my office with wet white t-shirt, i wonder how my co-worker would react...

once i saw steve malkmus in prospect park? during a thunderstorm.
all the people got drenched, i mean thoroughly soaked. it was hot. i mean, the guys were hot.
so yes guys look good wet too.
