Anyway, am I the only one a little freaked out that the north pole is moving around like that? Is this supposed to happen? Isn't the north pole what keeps the earth on track and whatnot?

I think it is Santa. And according to legend, he wasn't always called Santa. Christmas night, flying reindeer, coming down the chimney -- all true. Except he doesn't traditionally bring presents so much as, you know, disembowel children.
