I predate emo by aleast a decade. At least.
I thought Emo was a reference to Emo Philips until someone told me it was some lame-ass music style. Couldn't figure out why all these young kids were digging a semi-obscure 80's comic of questionable talent...

hey it was cute for the moment. I would chop chop again if it didnt take me a year and a half to get my hair back down to my shoulders.
It'll be another year and a half to get it the way it was before i got scissor hapyy.
but i have to say it was quite fun to cut my own hair for a while.

The only thing that kinda sucks about things like emo hair cuts and punk rock apparel (or anything of that sort on the other side of the spectrum) is the fact that you have to advertise who you are in order to feel like an individual... shop at the right stores... talk the right talk... and fall in line to be exactly what thousands of other followers in your city are trying to be... "different".
I think most of us have gotten over that by now.
