I've been having a few problems with my test site, it's a little choppy on some computers.
Let me know your specs and if the site is choppy. Thanks people

firefox on windows 2000, p4, 512 mb ram...
it slows down to a halt after a couple of minutes.
- Jaline0
It seems fine to me.
I'm using my dad's computer right now, which is 800x600 w/ Firefox.
The only complaint I have is the text in the left, flash part. It seems a little blurry.
But no big problems :)

i think it's the "transitions". the windows sliding in and out.
- Jaline0
Yeah, actually the transitions get quite slow after a little while. No big deal, but you may want to work on that.

this is a classic case of firefox slow down, in IE it runs superfast if you need it on Firefox you are going to have to try some optimization.
- Jaline0
Yup, just tried it in IE and it's way faster :)

yup, it is actually a little choppy here, i'm on win xp ff 1.0.4

mac osx ie was really choppy and the rollover never resolved, all broken up. many transitions slowed down.
firefox didn't seem to have the same problem

"classic case of firefox slow down"
is that similar to a hoedown?

the link rollovers are really problematic for me. the text alias looks diff. when rolling down than it does when stopped. fuzzy then crisp
not to mention we've seen that effect somewhere before... It's like a bad version of the NTâ„¢ rollovers.
I'd also chose what direction your wipes are going , horz. or vert., and stick with it. simplify.

thanks for your help, back to the drawing board.

do your stuff at 31 frames... and make sure you're turning your math tweens when they are not needed... and getting rid of images once not needed also
- kld0
remember 31's a charm ; )
you'll get it.
- kld0
ha, I was actually referring to the # of redesigns(from your about section) but 31 frames per sec. is good advice as well
- imakedesign0
over 30 times in two years???
- tenpointtwo0
yeah, I'm not very easily satisfied. lol.
how many time have you guys started and stopped an idea for your site without fully realizing it? I know I'm not the only one!
