having no talent is not a problem, having no desire to learn is.

self-knowledge is an incomparable quality though.

designers are their own worst critics. Your own personal neuroses steer your thought processes and govern how and why you choose to drive a particular design in a certain direction. Somestimes I feel that either my clients don't understand the language I'm speaking in or I'm not speaking the right language to them. Once every-so-often you'll get a career crisis, but you soon get over it and remember why you started doing design in the first place.
Chin up old boy, best of British luck to you!

most of us worry about that

what rand said.

I constantly tell myself how unoriginal I am. I wouldn't say I have no motivation, though, because these negative thoughts only lead me to be more thoughtful in my work.

What Rand said.
And sometimes you have to take a break and/or rant about things to get more perspective about design and life in general, thereby allowing you to see the inspirational things all around us, everyday.

I rip others. That allows me to swoop in and yoink only the very best that's out there and showcase it as my own, thus constantly always bringing out toally bitchin shit.
I avoid all knowledge when shit goes down though. It's either 'Whoa! Who put that there? Thats not mine! That's 2A!" or the opposite way, like "Hey gmunk, what a way to steal my stuff man. Did my back hurt your knife or something?"

I get that all the time. I get burnt lately too. I'm working on a Cindy Crawford commercial right now and normally I would be stoked, but I'm loosing my passion.
I actully just bought a small shop in my town and plan on semi retiring from art for awhile. At least a year. To clear my thoughts & start thinking about what i want to do and then create. I never have the time to sit back and think about what i want to create. I'm always told what to do. I think it's going to be a fun year for me. I'm going to start painting again too.

but on a serious note studderine, I think we all feel the same most of the time.
You finish a project you think is going to be really cool and nobody notices?
You see other peoples work out there and think "how can they be so good?"Don't worry. Its all just part of the process.
Keep at it, it will come good.
